Abstract

This study looks at how much debt Haryana's agricultural worker households have. This study looks at farming debt from an economic, social, and environmental perspective. According to the report, legislation, financial institutions, educational systems, and environmental management practices must all be modified in order to effectively manage debt. According to the study's findings, the problem at hand can be attributed to a variety of factors, such as excessive input costs, decreased market values, a lack of non-agricultural employment opportunities, insufficient access to established financial channels, and natural difficulties like water scarcity and climate variability. By offering thorough understanding of the current situation, this study helps create solutions that will support farmers and their families and improve the resilience and sustainability of the agriculture sector.
