Abstract

Digital libraries have become an integral component of modern educational ecosystems, offering students unprecedented access to a vast array of academic resources. With the advancement of information and communication technologies, e-libraries facilitate flexible, user-centered learning by enabling access to e-books, journals, databases, and multimedia materials anytime and anywhere. This study investigates the role of digital libraries in enhancing student learning by improving accessibility, promoting independent study habits, and supporting academic achievement. It also evaluates how digital platforms contribute to bridging educational disparities among students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds (Smith, 2020).

Change is regarded as a crucial component of the twenty-first century and presents many difficulties for people's lives, the majority of which are brought on by the influence of technology. One sector that has been impacted by technology is education. The advancement of information and communication technologies in recent years has led to the emergence of new educational models known as web or online learning. This paper reviews the function of digital libraries in e-learning. Methods: a definition of a digital library is given first, followed by a discussion of its differences from a traditional library. Finally, the definition of eLearning and the role of digital libraries in offering new forms of education are examined.

The research paper examines the importance of digital libraries in fostering critical thinking, research skills, and information literacy. While e-libraries offer numerous benefits, challenges such as digital divide, lack of technical skills, and issues of information overload remain significant concerns. The study provides a comprehensive analysis of these factors and suggests strategies for optimizing the use of digital libraries in educational institutions to improve learning outcomes and ensure inclusive education (Kumar, 2019).
